PLEASE READ PET POLICY CAREFULLY
We are happy to offer our guests the privilege of traveling with a dog in Cabins 1, 3, and our large cabin for a fee of $20 per dog, per night, 2 dog maximum. Non-aggressive breeds only. ($100 maximum fee per pet for stays longer than 5 nights). We ask that you refrain from letting your dogs lay or sleep on the beds and furniture in order to keep things clean and new looking for other guests. If you intend to let your dog sleep on the bed, you must provide your own bedding. Since your dog is part of your family, he/she must not be left unattended in the cabin. If you intend to leave your dog in the cabin while you're out, he/she must be in a kennel. We understand that your pet may be very well behaved, or not used to being on a leash, but for the safety of your pet, as well as other guests, pets MUST be on a leash when outside. Please clean up after your dog. Please make sure your dog is up to date on shots and flea/tick treatments. Fees will be charged to your credit card at owner's discretion for excessive pet hair, fleas, or damages. Guests agree to all aspects of this policy at time of booking and will be asked to leave if found to be in violation of our pet policy. All policies apply to guests traveling with service dogs as well.
We hope our guests will honor our pet policy so we can continue to offer this option to pet lovers!
NOTE: Our cabins are located on US 31, which is a heavily traveled road. Traffic can be noisy at certain times of the day. Please watch your children and pets closely and keep them on our property while you are staying with us.
Violation of our house rules and/or policies will result in an immediate non-refundable termination of your stay with us.
other things to note
Linens and towels are provided in each cabin. You will need to bring your own beach towels and towels/rags for wiping down motorcycles, bikes, and other equipment.
Each cabin has a fire ring. Firewood, charcoal, lighter fluid, and bug spray are available for purchase on site at reasonable prices. Due to spread of disease, carrying in of firewood is not permitted unless it's purchased locally. We have small charcoal grills available for our guests, just ask for one at check in time. A gas grill is provided for guests staying in the large cabin.
You are welcome to bring your own outdoor games/activities. We don't have a playground on site. Both Manistee and Ludington have nice, updated playground options.
Two fans are provided in each cabin, as cabins are not air conditioned. Nights typically cool down nicely. The cabins have well water serviced by Culligan and it is safe to drink, but if you are used to city water, you may want to bring bottled water for drinking.
Since we are surrounded by many large trees, we don't have access to quality WiFi. Verizon and AT&T have strong cell signals at the cabins if you need to stay plugged in. We do encourage you to unplug and enjoy our natural surroundings. We have seen many species of birds, including Pileated woodpeckers, eagles, and hawks around the cabins. Other animals known to wander through are squirrels, chipmunks, raccoons, opossum, porcupine, deer, bobcat, and an occasional bear! Note:don't leave trash out!
We rent cross country skis, boots, and poles, as well as snowshoes, seasonally, on site for $15 per day. We can also help you with pick up or drop off of your canoe or kayak to our nearby rivers. Please call ahead for these services.
