Are there beaches or lakes nearby?

Public beaches can be found in Manistee, 10 minutes north, and in Ludington, 25 minutes south. The pristine beaches of Lake Michigan are just 8 miles straight west of the cabins, accessible from Lake Michigan Recreational Area. There are several inland lakes nearby with public access for swimming and fishing.

Do the cabins have bathrooms? 

Each cabin has it's own bathroom with a toilet, sink, and shower. Our large cabin has a full bathroom with a tub/shower.

Can I bring my dog(s)?

We have 4 pet friendly cabins. The other 3 are kept pet free for our guests with allergies.

Are there any places to canoe or kayak nearby?

Canoe and kayak liveries are located nearby on the Pine, Big & Little Manistee, and Pere Marquette Rivers.

Can we bring snowmobiles or Side by Sides?

There are hundreds of miles of forest roads and groomed ORV and snowmobile trails located within a short ride from the cabins.

 

Do the cabins have kitchens? 

The large cabin has a full kitchen with full sized fridge, stove, pots & pans, and all the cooking essentials needed to prepare full meals. The 6 small cabins each have a microwave, small fridge, coffee pot, plates, utensils, BBQ tools for cooking over the fire pit.

Can we smoke in the cabins? 

All of our cabins are smoke free. Guests must smoke, vape, etc. outside. 

Do the cabins have air conditioning and heat?

All of the cabins have heat sources. The large cabin has an air conditioning unit. The 6 small cabins are not air conditioned, but are equipped with several fans.

Do the cabins have WiFi? 

We currently do not have the option of offering quality WiFi. Trustream, through our electric provider, is on the way. Verizon, T-Mobile, At&T, have a strong cell signal. 

Are there hiking trails on site? 

We do not have trails on site. Nordhouse Dunes Wilderness Area, North Country Trail, Manistee River Trail, Ludington State Park, and Magoon Creek are all nearby and offer some of the most breathtaking views & scenic hiking areas in the state.

Do we need to bring our own bedding/towels?

All sheets, towels, pillows, extra blankets are supplied. Bring your own beach towels, and pillow if preferred.

What are some other things to do in the area?

Golf courses, wineries, lighthouses, restaurants, parks, children's museum, Little River Casino, and unique downtown shopping are options in Manistee & Ludington. Many guests book salmon fishing charters in Summer & early Fall on Lake Michigan and Pere Marquette or Manistee Rivers. Explore the Silver Lake Sand Dunes by booking a Mac Woods Dune Ride.

Do you have to share a fire pit?

Each cabin has it's own private fire pit area with a cooking grill grate. The large cabin has a bigger, more spacious fire pit area with lights, benches, and adirondack chairs.
